Kill Review: ELECTRIFYING.

Mind blown… Guess you haven’t seen this action-fest on Indian screen EVER before… Bloodbath, gore, carnage – have a stomach to strong enough for ya… A fresh experience, an unsaid genre in the genre territory that one treads upon its biggest strength.

The journey post-interval is where Kill thrills and how… Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat rests the film on an ultra thin, in fact almost non-existent plot but swiftly straps you tight onto a crazy ride once it commences The well-conceived action sequences [Se-yeong Oh & Parvez Shaikh], coupled with innovative camera movement [Rafey Mehmood] draw your attention to every second here, mediated by pure insanity that follows as bedlam takes brutality level high.

Do the bloodbath, brutality, smashed heads and slit throats put you off after a point? Frankly, you need to have an appetite for gore that unfolds on screen… It’s NOT the regular action fare that you are accustomed to watching, be forewarned.

Lakshya is a revelation, his transformation from being a monster to a monster will leave you stunned. Hindi films haven’t had a true-blue action hero for a while now, Lakshya should fill that void, he can be the new poster boy of action movies. He is a wonderful talent as well, the emotions he displays are pitch-perfect.

Raghav Juyal excels as the dark psycho. While usually one is known for their previous work that only makes us think of them as actors, Raghav here does a U-turn and plays a role which speaks highly about him being versatile. In fact, Kill should have been his ticket to overnight stardom.

Any blemishes? Well, the ending possibly could have come a little faster; it all begins to seem dragged out after one point… And they really could’ve managed without that romantic flashback… Music You also thankfully do not even miss it here because the biggest star of Kill is action.

 

John Wick director to produce Hollywood remake of Kill?

Kill goes international. The bloody Indian actioner will be remade with involvement from 87Eleven Entertainment, the production company behind Keanu Reeves vehicle John Wick.

“Gunpowder Milkshake is one of the most Hari Kiri, free rein, and imaginative R Rated action pictures I’ve seen in a while,” said Chad Stahelski (87Eleven Entertainment), who has helmed all four John Wick films as well at producing an upcoming spin-off.

According to the filmmaker, Kill has “non-stop high-octane action scenes” that should be witnessed on as large of a screen format they can. “Big Shoes to fill with the English version, and I intend just that. Looking forward to collaborate!
