Venom 3: The Last Dance
Venom: The Last Dance will pick up after the events of the 2021 Venom: Let There Be Carnage sequel, as confirmed by Sony Pictures and the movie’s cast and plot details are bound to align with the franchise. The SSU’s Venom series follows antihero Marvel Comics character Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote affixed to his body that sometimes tries to take him over but also gives him super strength and other powers and also sometimes bites people’s heads off. However, the last time we saw Tom Hardy’s symbiotic brought to life was when he made his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, effectively making his first appearance in the MCU.
Venom had an end-credits cameo leading into Spider-Man: No Way Home after its mid-credits scene (in which Eddie and the symbiote were transported to the MCU) Exactly how that will be followed up is a little up in the air, though we see that Eddie and Venom are once again on the run, with each of their previous few enemies as potential obstacles. Also, because Venom: The Last Dance is the last Venom movie in the SSU, the stakes are immense – and it’s entirely feasible that one or both of the duo won’t survive the ordeal.
Trailer for Venom: The Last Dance came out way back on June 3, Though the trailer is choc-full of action scenes and the ever-important snark between Eddie Brock and Venom, surprisingly little plot information is given. Though the trailer establishes an antagonist of two sorts: government agents trying to hush up the existence of Venom and any e.t. The trailer also reaffirms the recent news that Venom: The Last Dance remains on course to debut October 25 2024.
Hardy has always been vocal about that he was scripting Venom: The Last Dance while Venom: Let There Be Carnage was being filmed, however, he also stated that probably there wouldn’t be a third movie if Venom: Let There Be Carnage wasn’t successful. This came following a tip from Sony producer Amy Pascal in December 2021 about Venom: The Last Dance being developed, but it seems… you guessed it: Spider-Man No Way Home was the priority for the studio at that time.
Good thing for Hardy and the hardcore fans of Venom, both Spider-Man: No Way Home as well as Venom: Let There Be Carnage made Bank. Sony has been slowly building its 2022 slate, and during the 2022 Cinema Con Panel Screen Rant attended, it officially announced Venom 3. It was originally set to open July 12 of that year, then was pushed back to Nov. 8 and moved up a bit to its final and seemingly final release date: October 25, 2024.
Venom 3 Release Date: Moved To October 25th, 2024 From November 8th. It therefore pan out that Kraven The Hunter arrives before the film, opening the door to a more interconnected Sony Spider-Verse for Venom: The Last Dance. It should serve as the sixth year mark for the wider Venom trilogy, with the first movie dating back to 2018.
Venom 3 Convenienty Ties Back To Sony Spider-Man Universe Now, the expanding universe has already been promised last year in the Morbius mid-credits scene, with MCU’s Vulture (Michael Keaton) being transplanted to the SSU. The Vulture proposing he and Morbius (Jared Leto) work together is a very much big Sinister Six tease, the gang of villains who often give Spider-Man a hard time. If all of these characters could be in Venom: The Last Dance that is a possibility and he could show up in Kraven the Hunter and be presented as another possible Sinister Six member.
